This is a (slightly late) "1 month later" update.
I definitely feel an ongoing transformation.
Emotionally and mentally I am feeling more positive. I recently had several people note my non-stop grinning and made comments along the line of "you always say things in an optimistic way". One person even unexpectedly started asking me about these "oriental things" I practice. I still have my "low" moments when under stress, but they happen less frequently and disappear quicker. And I feel better able to deal with the stress: I notice the symptoms earlier and am better able to take steps to lift myself out of that state.
I also notice myself becoming more assertive, but in a softer way. It's hard to put in words but instead of the harder, shaper, angrier assertiveness I had before it feels very different - bigger, softer - hard to put into words. I kind of get the warm protective feeling of trying to persuade a small child, with a quiet smile and the desire to help the person, rather than to win the argument.
Especially after practicing the set a few times I feel like I'm bigger and softer, with a strong desire to help people - not because of ego, but just because of a nice feeling.
Attending the course also made a big impact on my kungfu practice. Of course I was always doing my 1-2 Chi Kung sessions every day, but now I am doing at least 3 x 1.5h kungfu sessions every week - big improvement on my previous efforts. I usually get up early in the morning to do the practice - something that would have been totally unheard of before the course.
All in all, an interesting start - looking forward to see what happens further down the line.
