The focus of Day 1 of the Intensive Chi Kung Course in Sabah was on overcoming illness and promoting good health, vitality and longevity. Course participants who wish to overcome their illness, any illness, were reminded to focus on material learned on the first day of the course, and practice material on the second day and the third day only occasionally to maintain their skills and techniques.

Three techniques were taught, and they were:

  1. Lifting the Sky
  2. Pushing Mountain
  3. Carrying the Moon
The main skills were
  1. Entering into a chi kung state of mind
  2. Generating an energy flow
Course participants were reminded of the 3 golden rules of practice:
  1. Not to worry
  2. Not to intellectualize
  3. Enjoy the practice
Incidentally, the rule of three, like in the three golden rules of practice, was first introduced by Dr Damian Kissey, the honorary Sabah organizer.
