NEUTRALIZING THE STRONG POINT OF A KARATE OPPONENT

Do you know why deflecting an opponent's attack in this way is disadvantageous?
If you can apply your Taijiquan techniques and tactics skillfully, you can easily overwhelm a Karate opponent. Notice how you should cover his attacks. If you deflect his attack from inside-out, for example, you may not be able to neutralize his force, which is his strong point. You must also have reach when you strike your opponent.
