A LITTLE JUMP AS A TRICK
Many people are weary of sweeping kicks, or whirlwind kicks in kungfu terminology. They are fast and powerful. Blocking these kicks, as some martial artists may do, may result in the defenders' broken arms. But there are actually many counters against the powerful whirlwind kicks. One way, using a Nail Kick, has been shown in earlier clips.
Here, the response is a little jump away. It is a trick to tempt the opponent to continue his attack. Hence, you must not jump too far away. It should be far enough to avoid his kick, but near enough so that he can move in easily to continue his attack. What would you do when he moves in? This will be shown in the next video series.
