BASIC COUNTERS AGAINST A BOXER'S JABS
We may take a Boxer's jabs like "Black Tiger Steals Heart" and respond with "Single Tiger Emerges from Cave". While this is feasible, it is not a good choice. Not only we have to compete with the Boxer's force as he jabs in, we also have to compete with his speed, which is generally faster than the Single Tiger response in real time.
A better choice is to brush away his jabs using the Shaolin pattern "Kitten Washes Face". Here we compensate the Boxer's faster speed in real time with our better technique. We also minimize his force because our respond follows his attacking momentum instead of going against it.
An even better response is to use "Wave Dragon Back to Cave". Here we not only brush away his attack but “tame” or cover it as well, making it difficult for him to continue attacking. We can then counter-attack with our "Black Tiger Steals Heart".
